Unusual, 19Th Century, Copper Coffee Pot
An unusual, late 19th century, copper coffee pot. There is a filter in the top section of this so ground coffee would be placed in the top and boiled water poured over it. It would sit on the stove, for the coffee to keep hot whilst filtering through. It is made from a substantial gauge of copper, has castellated seams around the base and up the sides, and it dates from c.1890.

There are a couple of very minor dents to the sides but otherwise it is in good condition. The tinning, to the interior, is worn so it would no longer be of use for its’ original purpose. Copper preserve pan
A good quality, English copper preserve pan. This is marked “L. CADEC LTD”. Madame Cadec set up a store, in 1910, at 52 Greek Street, Soho, London, to sell French copper cookware. However, although bearing no manufacturers marks, this piece is of English manufacture as it has the typical form of English brass handles and the shape of the pan is also quite different to the French form of preserve pan. It is in excellent condition, with just a few very small marks to the copper on the interior.
