We construct the phase space of a spherically symmetric causal diamond in $(d+2)$-dimensional Minkowski spacetime. Utilizing the covariant phase space formalism, we identify the relevant degrees of freedom that localize to the $d$-dimensional bifurcate horizon and, upon canonical quantization, determine their commutators. On this phase space, we find two Iyer-Wald charges. The first of these charges, proportional to the area of the causal diamond, is responsible for shifting the null time along the horizon and has been well-documented in the literature. The second charge is much less understood, being integrable for $d \geq 2$ only if we allow for field-dependent diffeomorphisms and is responsible for changing the size of the causal diamond.

The leading order $N$-point energy correlators of maximally supersymmetric Yang-Mills theory in the limit where the $N$ detectors are collinear can be expressed as an integral of the $1\to N$ splitting function, which is given by the $(N{+}3)$-point squared super-amplitudes at tree level. This provides yet another example that the integrand of certain physical observable -- $N$-point energy correlator -- is computed by the canonical form of a positive geometry -- the (tree-level) "squared amplituhedron". By extracting such squared amplitudes from the $f$-graph construction, we compute the integrand of energy correlators up to $N=11$ and reveal new structures to all $N$; we also show important properties of the integrand such as soft and multi-collinear limits. Finally, we take a first look at integrations by studying possible residues of the integrand: our analysis shows that while this gives prefactors in front of multiple polylogarithm functions of $N=3,4$, the first unknown case of $N=5$ already involves elliptic polylogarithmic functions with many distinct elliptic curves, and more complicated curves and higher-dimensional varieties appear for $N>5$.

Recently considerable efforts have been devoted to computing cosmological correlators and the corresponding wavefunction coefficients, as well as understanding their analytical structures. In this note, we revisit the computation of these ``cosmological amplitudes" associated with any tree or loop graph for conformal scalars with time-dependent interactions in the power-law FRW universe, directly in terms of iterated time integrals. We start by decomposing any such cosmological amplitude (for loop graph, the ``integrand" prior to loop integrations) as a linear combination of {\it basic time integrals}, one for each {\it directed graph}. We derive remarkably simple first-order differential equations involving such time integrals with edges ``contracted" one at a time, which can be solved recursively and the solution takes the form of Euler-Mellin integrals/generalized hypergeometric functions. By combining such equations, we then derive a complete system of differential equations for all time integrals needed for a given graph. Our method works for any graph: for a tree graph with $n$ nodes, this system can be transformed into the {\it canonical differential equations} of size $4^{n{-}1}$ quivalent to the graphic rules derived recently%so-called ``kinematic flow", and we also derive the system of differential equations for loop integrands {\it e.g.} of all-loop two-site graphs and one-loop $n$-gon graphs. Finally, we show how the differential equations truncate for the de Sitter (dS) case (in a way similar to differential equations for Feynman integrals truncate for integer dimensions), which immediately yields the complete symbol for the dS amplitude with interesting structures {\it e.g.} for $n$-site chains and $n$-gon cases.

The study of collinear behavior for gauge theories in the spacelike region is of great phenomenological and theoretical importance. We analytically calculate the two-loop spacelike splitting amplitude for the full color N=4 Super-Yang-Mills theory. The result is derived by two complementary methods starting from the known amplitude: one is based on a discontinuity analysis, while the other one is based on analytic continuation. Our result explicitly shows terms that violate naive factorization. However we show that factorization is restored at the level of color-summed unpolarized squared amplitudes at next-to-next-to-next-to leading order. We conjecture that the two-loop tripole terms in the generalized splitting amplitudes in QCD are identical to what we obtain in N=4 super Yang-Mills theory.

Using the gauge-gravity duality, we investigate the fermionic correlation function in the D(-1)-D3 brane system which describes the instantonic plasma in holography. In this system, the charge of the D(-1) brane as the D-instanton gives the gluon condensate. To simplify the holographic setup, we first reduce briefly the ten-dimensional supergravity background produced by D(-1)-D3-branes to an equivalently five-dimensional background. Then using the standard method for computing the Green function in the AdS/CFT dictionary, we derive the equations for the fermionic correlation functions and solve them numerically with the infalling boundary condition. Our numerical results illustrate that the fermionic correlation function as spectral function includes two branches of the dispersion curves whose behavior is very close to the results obtained from the method of hard thermal loop. And the effective mass generated by the medium effect of fermion splits into two values due to the spin-dependent interactions induced by instantons. Therefore, this work in holography demonstrates the instantonic configuration is very influential to the fermionic plasmino in plasma.

In the presence of crystalline symmetry, topologically ordered states can acquire a host of symmetry-protected invariants. These determine the patterns of crystalline symmetry fractionalization of the anyons in addition to fractionally quantized responses to lattice defects. Here we show how ground state expectation values of partial rotations centered at high symmetry points can be used to extract crystalline invariants. Using methods from conformal field theory and G-crossed braided tensor categories, we develop a theory of invariants obtained from partial rotations, which apply to both Abelian and non-Abelian topological orders. We then perform numerical Monte Carlo calculations for projected parton wave functions of fractional Chern insulators, demonstrating remarkable agreement between theory and numerics. For the topological orders we consider, we show that the Hall conductivity, filling fraction, and partial rotation invariants fully characterize the crystalline invariants of the system. Our results also yield invariants of continuum fractional quantum Hall states protected by spatial rotational symmetry.

We use algebraic Bethe Ansatz, in combination with computational algebraic geometry to obtain analytic results for medium-size (around 10-20 qubits) quantum circuits. The results are rational functions of the quantum circuit parameters. We obtain analytic results for such correlation functions both in the real space and Fourier space. In the real space, we analyze the short time and long time limit of the correlation functions. In Fourier space, we obtain analytic results in different parameter regimes, which exhibit qualitatively different behaviors. We initially employ perturbative methods to solve the Einstein equations as boundary value problems, providing correlators for the energy-momentum tensor operator at low points. Utilizing operator equations established in our previous work, we further compute arbitrary high-point correlators for the energy-momentum tensor operator in the high-temperature phase and recursive relations for these high-point functions. Concurrently, we employ the Chern-Simons formalism to derive consistent results. Further, using the cut-off AdS/$T\bar{T}$-deformed CFT duality, we calculate the energy-momentum tensor correlators, contributing to the comprehensive understanding of the system's dynamics. Finally, stress tensor correlators enable us to ascertain the corresponding KdV operator correlators at low-temperature.

Quantum spin liquids are exotic phases of quantum matter especially pertinent to many modern condensed matter systems. Dirac spin liquids (DSLs) are a class of gapless quantum spin liquids that do not have a quasi-particle description and are potentially realized in a wide variety of spin $1/2$ magnetic systems on $2d$ lattices. In particular, the DSL in square lattice spin-$1/2$ magnets is described at low energies by $(2+1)d$ quantum electrodynamics with $N_f=4$ flavors of massless Dirac fermions minimally coupled to an emergent $U(1)$ gauge field. The existence of a relevant, symmetry-allowed monopole perturbation renders the DSL on the square lattice intrinsically unstable. We argue that the DSL describes a stable continuous phase transition within the familiar Neel phase (or within the Valence Bond Solid (VBS) phase). In other words, the DSL is an "unnecessary" quantum critical point within a single phase of matter. Our result offers a novel view of the square lattice DSL in that the critical spin liquid can exist within either the Neel or VBS state itself, and does not require leaving these conventional states.

We show that (2+1)D invertible fermionic topological phases with these symmetries have a $\mathbb{Z} \times \mathbb{Z}_8$, $\mathbb{Z}^2 \times \mathbb{Z}_2$, and $\mathbb{Z}^2 \times \mathbb{Z}_4$ classification, respectively, which we compute using the framework of $G$-crossed braided tensor categories. We provide a many-body $RT$ invariant in terms of a tripartite entanglement measure, and which we show can be understood using an edge conformal field theory computation in terms of vertex states. For $G_f = U(1)^f \rtimes \mathbb{Z}_2^{RT}$, which applies to charged fermions in a magnetic field, the non-trivial value of the $\mathbb{Z}_2$ invariant requires strong interactions. For symmetry-preserving boundaries, the phases are distinguished by zero modes at the intersection of the reflection axis and the boundary. Additional invariants arise in the presence of translation or rotation symmetry.

We study a correspondence between gravitational shockwave geometry and its fluid description near a Rindler horizon in Minkowski spacetime. Utilizing the Petrov classification that describes algebraic symmetries for Lorentzian spaces, we establish an explicit mapping between a potential fluid and the shockwave metric perturbation, where the Einstein equation for the shockwave geometry is equivalent to the incompressibility condition of the fluid, augmented by a shockwave source. Then we consider an Ansatz of a stochastic quantum source for the potential fluid, which has the physical interpretation of shockwaves created by vacuum energy fluctuations. Under such circumstance, the Einstein equation, or equivalently, the incompressibility condition for the fluid, becomes a stochastic differential equation. By smearing the quantum source on a stretched horizon in a Lorentz invariant manner with a Planckian width (similarly to the membrane paradigm), we integrate fluctuations near the Rindler horizon to find an accumulated effect of the variance in the round-trip time of a photon traversing the horizon of a causal diamond.

Our calculation illustrates the quantum OTOC with imaginary Lyapunov coefficient indicates the possibly metastable baryonic status in the presence of the theta angle while the classical OTOC can not, thus it reveals the theta-dependent features of QCD are dominated basically by its quantum properties. Furthermore, the OTOC also implies the baryonic phase becomes really chaotic with real Lyapunov exponent if the theta angle increases sufficiently which agrees with the unstable baryon spectrum presented in this model. In this sense, we believe the OTOC may be treated as a tool to detect the baryonic phase structure of QCD.

The low-energy physics of Tomonaga-Luttinger liquids (TLLs) is controlled by the Luttinger parameter. We demonstrate that this parameter can be extracted from a single wave function for one-component TLLs with periodic boundary condition. This method relies on the fact that TLLs are described by conformal field theory in which crosscap states can be constructed. The overlaps between the crosscap states and the ground state as well as some excited states are proved to be universal numbers that directly reveal the Luttinger parameter. In microscopic lattice models, crosscap states are formed by putting each pair of antipodal sites into a maximally entangled state. Analytical and numerical calculations are performed in a few representative models to substantiate the conformal field theory prediction. The extracted Luttinger parameters are generally quite accurate in finite-size systems with moderate lengths, so there is no need to perform data fitting and/or finite-size scaling.

In this work, we investigate the worldvolume fermion on the flavor brane in the D0-D4/D8 model which is holographically equivalent to the four-dimensional QCD with a theta term. The action for the worldvolume fermion is obtained by the T-duality rules in string theory and we accordingly derive its effectively five-dimensional, canonical four-dimensional forms by using the systematical dimensional reduction and decomposition of spinor. Afterwards, we employ the AdS/CFT dictionary in order to evaluate the two-point correlation function as the spectral function for the worldvolume fermion and interpret the fermion as baryon by analyzing its quantum number with the baryon vertex in holography. In this sense, the interacted action involving the worldvolume fermion and gauge field on the flavor brane are finally derived in holography which describes the various interaction of meson and baryon with the theta angle in large-N limit. Therefore, this work provides a holographic picture to describe baryon and its interactions based on string theory, in particular, in the presence of a theta angle.

In this study, we establish a connection between timelike and spacelike entanglement entropy. Specifically, for a diverse range of states, the timelike entanglement entropy is uniquely determined by a linear combination of the spacelike entanglement entropy and its first-order temporal derivative. This framework reveals that the imaginary component of the timelike entanglement entropy primarily originates from the non-commutativity between the twist operator and its first-order temporal derivative. Furthermore, we analyze the constraints of this relation and highlight the possible extension to accommodate more complex state configurations.

We study Hawking radiation and wave scattering of charged scalar fields in a charged $C$-metric black hole background. The conformally invariant wave equation for charged scalar fields can be separated into radial and angular parts, each with five singularities. We show that the radial and angular equations can be respectively transformed into the general Heun equation. We explore exact solutions of the radial Heun equation in terms of the local Heun functions and connection coefficients. Exact behaviours of the asymptotic wave functions are determined without approximations. We apply the exact results to derive Hawking radiation, quasi-normal modes and superradiance. Since quasinormal modes are significant for black holes through gravitional waves, we present the numeric results for quasinormal modes, and show the dependence upon the $C$-metric parameters and the charge of scalar fields. The analytic expressions of the solutions allow us to make fast numerical calculations of high precision without restrictions on the model parameters.

Our numerical evaluation illustrates the behaviors of the OTOC with large $N_{c}$, however the expected exponential growth of OTOC is not obtained. Besides, we also take a look at the classical limit of the OTOC and analyze the associated behaviors. At the end of this work, we additionally study the OTOC with three-dimensional Coulomb potential, as another example for the central force field, to support our analyses of the general properties of quantum OTOC.

We investigate the impact of measuring one subsystem on the holographic complexity of another. While a naive expectation might suggest a reduction in complexity due to the collapse of the state to a trivial product state during quantum measurements, our findings reveal a counterintuitive result: in numerous scenarios, measurements on one subsystem can amplify the complexity of another. We first present a counting argument elucidating this complexity transition in random states. Then, employing the subregion "complexity=volume" (CV) proposal, we identify a complexity phase transition induced by projection measurements in various holographic CFT setups, including CFT vacuum states, thermofield double states, and the joint system of a black hole coupled to a bath. According to the AdS/BCFT correspondence, the post-measurement dual geometry involves an end-of-the-world brane created by the projection measurement. The complexity phase transition corresponds to the transition of the entanglement wedge to the one connected to the brane. In the context of the thermofield double setup, complete projection on one side can transform the other side into a boundary state black hole with higher complexity or a pure AdS with lower complexity. In the joint system of a black hole coupled to a nongraviting bath, where (a part of) the radiation is measured, the BCFT features two boundaries: one for the black hole and the other for the measurement. We construct the bulk dual involving intersecting or non-intersecting branes, and investigate the complexity transition induced by the projection measurement. Notably, for a subsystem that contains the black hole brane, its RT surface may undergo a transition, giving rise to a complexity jump.

The fusion rules and operator product expansion (OPE) serve as crucial tools in the study of operator algebras within conformal field theory (CFT). Building upon the vision of using entanglement to explore the connections between fusion coefficients and OPE coefficients, we employ the replica method and Schmidt decomposition method to investigate the time evolution of entanglement entropy (EE) and pseudo entropy (PE) for linear combinations of operators in rational conformal field theory (RCFT). We obtain a formula that links fusion coefficients, quantum dimensions, and OPE coefficients. We also identify two definition schemes for linear combination operators. Under one scheme, the EE captures information solely for the heaviest operators, while the PE retains information for all operators, reflecting the phenomenon of pseudo entropy amplification. Irrespective of the scheme employed, the EE demonstrates a step-like evolution, illustrating the effectiveness of the quasiparticle propagation picture for the general superposition of locally excited states in RCFT. From the perspective of quasiparticle propagation, we observe spontaneous block-diagonalization of the reduced density matrix of a subsystem when quasiparticles enter the subsystem.

The Lagrangian insertion method, together with symmetries of the theory fix the integrand up to a few constants, which can be determined by lower loop data. The final result can be written in terms of the known three-loop conformal integrals. From the four-point function, we extract the OPE coefficients of two giant gravitons and one non-BPS twist-2 operator with arbitrary spin at three-loops, given in terms of harmonic sums. On conformally compact manifolds we study Yang-Mills equations, their boundary conditions, formal asymptotics, and Dirichlet-to-Neumann maps. We find that smooth solutions with "magnetic" Dirichlet boundary data are obstructed by a conformally invariant, higher order boundary current. We study the asymptotics of the interior Yang-Mills energy functional and show that the obstructing current is the variation of the conformally invariant coefficient of the first log term in this expansion which is a higher derivative conformally invariant analog of the Yang-Mills energy. The invariant energy is the anomaly for the renormalized interior Yang-Mills functional and its variation gives higher conformal Yang-Mills equations. Global solutions to the magnetic boundary problem determine higher order "electric" Neumann data. This yields the Dirichlet-to-Neumann map. We also construct conformally invariant, higher transverse derivative boundary operators. Acting on interior connections, they give obstructions to solving the Yang-Mills boundary problem, determine the asymptotics of formal solutions, and yield conformally invariant tensors capturing the (non-local) electric Neumann data. We also characterize a renormalized Yang-Mills action functional that encodes global features analogously to the renormalized volume for Poincaré-Einstein structures.

This paper investigates holographic torus correlators of generic operators at conformal infinity and a finite cutoff within AdS$_3$ gravity coupled with a free scalar field. Using a near-boundary analysis and solving the gravitational boundary value problem, we solve Einstein's equation and calculate mixed correlators for massless and massive coupled scalar fields. The conformal ward identity on the torus has been reproduced holographically, which can be regarded as a consistency check. Further, recurrence relations for a specific class of higher-point correlators are derived, validating AdS$_3$/CFT$_2$ with non-trivial boundary topology. While the two-point scalar correlator is accurately computed on the thermal AdS$_3$ saddle, the higher-point correlators associated with scalar and stress tensor operators are explored.

We expand our result as a power series $\langle S_A\rangle_N=a f V+b\sqrt{V}+c+o(1)$, and find that $c$ is universal (i.e., independent of the system type), while $a$ and $b$ can be obtained from a generating function characterizing the local Hilbert space dimension. We illustrate the generality of our findings by studying a wide range of different systems, e.g., bosons, fermions, spins, and mixtures thereof. We provide evidence that our analytical results describe the entanglement entropy of highly excited eigenstates of quantum-chaotic spin and boson systems, which is distinct from that of integrable counterparts.

One-loop scattering amplitudes in string theories involve configuration-space integrals over genus-one surfaces with coefficients of Kronecker-Eisenstein series in the integrand. A conjectural genus-one basis of integrands under Fay identities and integration by parts was recently constructed out of chains of Kronecker-Eisenstein series. In this work, we decompose a variety of more general genus-one integrands into the conjectural chain basis. The explicit form of the expansion coefficients is worked out for infinite families of cases where the Kronecker-Eisenstein series form cycles. Our results can be used to simplify multiparticle amplitudes in supersymmetric, heterotic and bosonic string theories and to investigate loop-level echoes of the field-theory double-copy structures of string tree-level amplitudes. The multitude of basis reductions in this work strongly validate the recently proposed chain basis and stimulate mathematical follow-up studies of more general configuration-space integrals with additional marked points or at higher genus.

We explore a dynamical mechanism to realize the emergence of a global $U(1)_{\rm PQ}$ symmetry and its spontaneous breaking at an intermediate scale for an axion solution to the strong CP problem. Such a dynamics is provided by a new supersymmetric QCD near the middle of conformal window that couples to fields spontaneously breaking the $U(1)_{\rm PQ}$ symmetry. A large anomalous dimension of the $U(1)_{\rm PQ}$ breaking fields leads to the suppression of explicit $U(1)_{\rm PQ}$-violating higher dimensional operators. The $U(1)_{\rm PQ}$ breaking vacuum is generated at a scale hierarchically smaller than the Planck scale by a non-perturbative effect. The $U(1)_{\rm PQ}$ breaking drives the conformal breaking, and all the new quarks become massive. The axion potential is generated by the ordinary color $SU(3)_C$ effect as the $U(1)_{\rm PQ}$ symmetry is only anomalous under the $SU(3)_C$. The saxion direction is stabilized by supersymmetry breaking and cosmologically harmless.

The rotating multistate axion boson stars~(RMABSs) consist of coupled fundamental configuration and excited configuration, and also include two types of solutions: $^1S^2S$ state and $^1S^2P$ state. Some differences between RABSs models and rotating mini-boson stars models are discussed. We show the solution space of these models for different values of decay constant $f_a$. We found fundamental RABSs have a higher maximum mass than the excited state in the low decay constant region. Moreover, the multistate configuration allows a higher mass than both the fundamental configuration and the excited configuration at the same frequency. We also found the RMABSs have the second branch in which the ergo-region emerges. This means the second branch may be superradiant unstable.

By using the gauge-gravity duality, we investigate the correlation function of flavored fermion in the \mathrm{D}_{p}/\mathrm{D}_{p+4} model as top-down approaches of holographic QCD for p=4,3. The bulk spinor, as the source of the flavored fermion in QCD, is identified to the worldvolume fermion on the flavor \mathrm{D}_{p+4}-branes and the standard form of its action can be therefore obtained by the T-duality rules in string theory. Keeping this in hand, we afterwards generalize the prescription for two-point correlation function in AdS/CFT dictionary into general D-brane backgrounds and apply it to the case of p=4,3, i.e. the D4/D8 and D3/D7 approach respectively. Resultantly, our numerical calculation with the bubble background always displays discrete peaks in the correlation functions which imply the bound states created by the flavored fermions as the confinement in QCD. With the black brane background, the onshell condition illustrated by the correlation function covers basically the dispersion curves of fermion obtained by the hard thermal loop approximation in the hot medium. Finally, we interpret the flavored fermions in the bubble background as baryons by taking into account a baryon vertex, then find the two-point correlation function is able to fit the lowest baryon spectrum. In this sense, we conclude remarkably that our top-down approach in this work could reveal the fundamental properties of QCD both in the confined and deconfined phase.

Discrete R symmetries always play an important role in low energy SUSY. The spontaneously broken of such discrete R symmetries, for example, by gaugino condensation, can lead to domain walls, which need to be either inflated away or collapse to avoid cosmic difficulties. We propose that explicitly R symmetry violation needed for collapse of domain walls can be the consequence of multiple sector SUSY breaking. The consistency constraints for the generation of non-problematic domain walls from gaugino condensation are discussed. We also study the emitted gravitational waves related to the collapse of domain walls. We find that, for SUSY breaking scale of order ${\cal O}(1)$ ${\rm GeV}$ in one of the sequestered sector (and also a low reheating temperature of order ${\rm MeV}$ if the reheating is not completed when the domain walls collapse), the peak frequency of gravitational waves emitted can lie at nHz. Such a low SUSY breaking scale can be consistency and natural in multiple sector SUSY breaking scenario. The GWs signal by NANOGrav could be a signal of such multiple sector SUSY breaking scenario and it may also indicate the existences of light goldstini at ${\rm eV}$ mass scale.

Abstract:
We prove that all tree-level amplitudes in pure (super-)gravity can be expressed as term-wise, gauge-invariant double-copies of those of pure (super-)Yang-Mills obtained via BCFW recursion. These representations are far from unique: varying the recursive scheme leads to a wide variety of distinct, but equally valid representations of gravitational amplitudes, all realized as double-copies.

Within the framework of relative and absolute quantum field theories (QFTs), we present a general formalism for understanding polarizations of the intermediate defect group and constructing non-invertible duality defects in theories in $2k$ spacetime dimensions with self-dual gauge fields. We introduce the polarization pair, which fully specifies absolute QFTs as far as their $(k-1)$-form defect groups are concerned, including their $(k-1)$-form symmetries, global structures (including discrete $θ$-angle), and local counterterms. Using the associated symmetry TFT, we show that the polarization pair is capable of succinctly describing topological manipulations, e.g., gauging $(k-1)$-form global symmetries and stacking counterterms, of absolute QFTs. Furthermore, automorphisms of the $(k-1)$-form charge lattice naturally act on polarization pairs via their action on the defect group; they can be viewed as dualities between absolute QFTs descending from the same relative QFT. Using this formalism, we present a prescription for building non-invertible symmetries of absolute QFTs. A large class of known examples, e.g., non-invertible defects in 4D $\mathcal{N}=4$ super-Yang--Mills, can be reformulated via this prescription. As another class of examples, we identify and investigate in detail a family of non-invertible duality defects in 6D superconformal field theories (SCFTs), including from the perspective of the symmetry TFT derived from Type IIB string theory.

In this dissertation, we study the generalized symmetries in supergravities and superconformal field theories from the string theory perspective.
Part one is devoted to the study of string universality in high spacetime dimensions. Answering this question requires us to combine the following two approaches. In the "top-down" approach, We focus on supergravity theories in 7, 8, and 9 dimensional spacetime with 16 supercharges. We emphasize two discrete aspects of these theories: generalized global symmetries and frozen singularities. We give an exhaustive classification of IIB supergravity theory in 8D, particularly emphasizing these two discrete aspects. In the "bottom-up" approach, we present a consistency condition of general 8D supergravity theories involving their higher-form symmetries use it to rule out many global structures of the gauge groups in 8D supergravity theories that do not admit string theory constructions. Part two studies the generalized global symmetries of geometrically-engineered quantum field theories via string theory. We examined branes wrapping on relative topological cycles that give heavy defects that are charged under generalized global symmetries, which can then be used to construct new lower-dimensional theories. By investigating the string theory origin of the topological operators, we provide a general construction of these topological operators in the context of geometric engineering as branes wrapped on the homological cycles in the asymptotic boundary of the internal geometry. We illustrate this proposal by determining non-invertible 2-form symmetries in 6D superconformal field theories. Furthermore, by wrapping type IIB 7-brane on the entire asymptotic boundary of the internal manifold, we explicitly give a unified string-theoretic construction of two different types of field-theoretic non-invertible duality defects.

Abstract:
We study the effects of geontropic vacuum fluctuations in quantum gravity on next-generation terrestrial gravitational wave detectors. If the VZ effect proposed in Ref. [1], as modeled in Refs. [2, 3], appears in the upcoming GQuEST experiment, we show that it will be a large background for astrophysical gravitational wave searches in observatories like Cosmic Explorer and the Einstein Telescope.

In this work, we investigate the time evolution of the pseudo-(Rényi) entropy after local primary operator quenches in 2D CFTs with $T\bar T/J\bar T$-deformation. Using perturbation theory, we analyze the corrections to the second pseudo-Rényi entropy at the late time, which exhibit a universal form, while its early-time behavior is model-dependent. Moreover, we uncover nontrivial time-dependent effects arising from the first-order deformation of the $k^{\rm th}$ pseudo-Rényi entropy at the late time. Additionally, drawing inspiration from the gravitational side, specifically the gluing of two cutoff AdS geometries, we investigate the $k^{\rm th}$ pseudo-Rényi entropy for vacuum states characterized by distinct $T\bar{T}$-deformation parameters, as well as for primary states acting on different deformed vacuum states. Our findings reveal additional corrections compared to the results of pseudo-Rényi entropy for globally deformed vacuum states.
