Mid-1800's Antique Iron Bed from Pittsburgh Pa Foundries
This beautiful scrolled and draped antique iron bed from the mid-1800's, originally came from back in the Pittsburgh Pa. area. Because of the high grade steel coming out of the mills in Pittsburgh, it was a common practice for countless small independently owned foundries to locate close to the source of the needed tubing and iron, needed to create these old works of art.
