Asking god for forgiveness

A daily prayer for the forgiveness of your sins, to confess where you’ve fallen short and ask God for forgiveness. Prayer based on 1 John 1:8-10.

A prayer for forgiveness and to remember God's love.

We need to be kind, compassionate, and forgiving. Paul wrote: “Become kind to one another, tenderly compassionate, freely forgiving one another just as God also by Christ freely forgave you.” (Eph. 4:32) Even if we are deeply hurt by some wrong done to us, let us forgive, as God does. (Luke 11:4) Suppose a fellow believer has said something negative about us. In an effort to straighten matters out, we approach him. He expresses true sorrow and asks for forgiveness.

Even when others may hurt you, choose to love them anyways. "Forgive them, Father! They don't know what they are doing" Luke 23:34 (GNBDK). Just pray for them and ask God to forgive them & to also to give you the strength to forgive them as well.

To help us to maintain Jehovah’s viewpoint on life, Ephesians 4:32 says: “Become kind to one another, tenderly compassionate, freely forgiving one another just as God also by Christ freely forgave you.” How can you nurse resentment toward a brother for whom Jehovah has shown love? In some strained situation, remember there are two sides and some of your imperfection contributes to the strain. There has to be a pull on both ends to keep a rope tight.
