Characters in both plays are imprisoned in their powerless decisions; incapable bodies, shelters and thought, leading them to their frustration and disillusionment. They appear as if they live in order to wait death which is ironically also late. It appears that the attitude of the characters in both plays with no except struggle to meet their soul peace which will never be achieved in Beckett's philosophy. This necessarily involves the author in the world after WWII and the political situation in the mid-nineteenth century, which structure the author's existentialism and nihilism vision. This means that not only the Irish background that is deeply rooted in the ideologies of the author but also to which extent the experience of the playwright had affected his writings.
