知足， 得幸福 Contented?

两天下来， 听了两折很有趣的故事。
Two interesting stories.

Story 1
Background Intro :
I am a strong believer of freedom. No freedom means no happiness.
He was a long time friend not very close though. Lost contact for some time and recently met virtually online.
Story :
After a few chats, I feel that he is happy about his current life. But there is a thing that puzzling me... he is happy in the expense of freedom. Apparently, there is some kind of relationship contract signed to live this way , no more new friends. Of course I don't feel easy about the arrangement but that's their lives and they have their very own theory behind it... to live simple. Ya, to certain extend, less people more simple. So, if you are contented being simple, there you are, you just get yourself some happiness... by cutting down people around you :)

Story 2
Background Intro:
It was Friday, in a local club, we were smoking. I was holding my red wine and he had iced coke.
I am very open guy or acceptive. I respect whatever lifestyle one chooses as long as nobody get hurt.
Story:
It's weird when I know about his contract of partnership. It is just more than open relationship which I understand, beyond that. This friend came out real young, gone thru all sort of wild things but yet the wildest. His relationship links to many people. It is complicated but this lead him to happiness. Apparently, they also have some kind of contract to agree on this lifestyle... making things more and more complicated so that things always appear new and fresh to them.


So, there are many ways in pursuing of happiness. You can lead a real simple life, cherish and be always thankful and contented with whatever you already have, or, get things wilder everyday, make sure you are not easily contented so that you always have an aim and purpose in life to pursue.
