Cruising KL

relaxing... sitting in a cafe with my tea... doing absolutely nothing. Jamaica Green Tea tastes really great!

I am naturally not good in sense of direction. Driving into KL city or coming out of the city is real challenge for me especially now that I am still new to this city. There are so many highways which I hardly remember their names let alone knowing where they are leading to. I spent almost an hour to study how to get to my destination. Surprisingly, the journey was a smooth one but i did stop and ask around to minimize mistake especially in the city that a wrong turn would probably lead me to Holland. I did the same map study heading back. Though am more confident but still not 100% sure and there will be no one to ask for direction at this late hour.

All went very well on my way back and 15 minutes later I already know I was pretty near to my place. Haa, not bad, as I was praising myself, I missed the highway exit... and immediately I reach a toll. As I was paying for toll I asked the nice toll lady if I have gone wrong way? " Yes, you should have taken the exit earlier, but dont worry you can still take the first exit after this toll to reach your destination." Damn, how could I missed...end up paying another toll... as I was grumbling, I found myself turning to a road with signboard showing [Johor]! What?!

Who's Your Father's Son?

Pak Lah was so disappointed with his cabinet for being inefficient and corrupt that he decided to call on Lee Hsien Loong and ask him how he managed to have such an efficient and incorruptible cabinet.

On hearing Pak Lah's woes, PM Lee said, "Simple, Pak Lah, I choose able men for my cabinet."Pak Lah asked, "Yes, but how do you know that they are able?"

PM Lee replied, "Just ask them simple questions to test their intelligence; don't need to be too difficult. Let me illustrate to you." Just then, Tony Tan was walking by.

PM Lee called out to him, "Hey Tony, come over here."

Tony obediently walked briskly over.

PM Lee asked, "Tell me, Tony, who is your father's son?" Tony Tan immediately replied, "Me, of course!"

PM Lee turned to Pak Lah and said, "See, all my ministers can answer this question. Why don't you go back and try."

Pak Lah thanked PM Lee and left. Once he was back, he immediately summoned Najeep, his deputy, and shot the question at him, "Tell me, Najeep, who is your father's son?"

Najeep was shocked beyond words and did not know the answer. After a while, he recovered and said, "Boss, let me find out and I'll tell you tomorrow."

Pak Lah, a bit disappointed, agreed, hoping that Najeep will give a good answer tomorrow.
Meanwhile, Najeep was panicking that his boss was testing him. He tried desperately to find out the answer from his staff, but none of them knew the answer. The next morning, he decided to call George Bush for help. Surely the most powerful person in the world must know the answer.

When Bush picked up the phone, Najeep said, "Hello, Bush, can I ask you a question?"

Bush, who was very busy, replied, "Alright, but it better be good!"

Najeep quickly asked, "Tell me, Bush, who is your father's son?"

Bush was fuming, "Of course it's me, you stupid!" and he slammed the phone down.

Satisfied that he's got the answer, he confidently walked into Pak Lah's office and said, "Boss, I've got the answer to your question."

Pak Lah, happy that his deputy wasn't that dumb, said, "So tell me quick, who is your fathers son, Najeep?"

Najeep confidently replied, "It's George Bush!"

Pak Lah slapped his own forehead in disgust and said, "No you stupid, it's TONY TAN!"

Stressful Week

18-Sep-08

This has been a very stressful week for me. KL/PJ is damn new to me and I got to sort out so many things all in a week time before I started work again. It is so damn stressful that I started to think if I have gone a bit too far and too fast? The landing is not that soft that I have anticipated. Hope thing gets better soon, surely it would be better, hang on Max… I got to name you Andrew for being such a great help to me during these crazy days. A Vietnamese noodle and spring roll certainly not enough to show how I appreciate your help and kindness… ARIGATO!

24-SEP-08, 7PM

Solve 40% of my problem with 70% of my ability. Left 30% power to face the remaining 60% problem. Sigh… I need a rest… look forward for Raya holidays…

24-SEP-08, 7:45PM

Come to think of it again, maybe I am too rushing in solving problem. Take one thing at a time, that I shall remind myself. Slow down Max, it just the second week.

I Am Back

17-Sep-08

Thing is cheap for a reason, for instance cousin bought me RM12 Nokia battery is dead after 3 months. “It is fake” the shop keeper in KL Sentral told me. “I know.”

Spend RM64 to buy an original battery. But Sim card failed to register. I seldom use the prepaid number and it’s been quite some time I didn’t top up the credit and believe it is now de-registered. Damnit Maxis, that’s means I lost all my contacts in Malaysia. It is terrible to know that you are disconnected from the world. Without hesitation, I walk over to another booth and pick my new number, this time around, I go for Digi, to protest against Maxis!

Where you going?

To X, near Y, just in front, not very far.

Ok, I know. Come on in. He went on and pressed the meter.

I hopped in the TAXI. This is a very pleasant experience with our Malaysia Taxi driver. I used to have very bad time bargaining the fee with them and most of the time do not how much to close the deal. I am glad that this Chinese driver make it so easy for me.

Just back from overseas?

Yes.

Very hard to get business now.

Excuse me, what?

(In Cantonese) More taxi but fewer passengers. Hard to make money with meter. Where you come from?

I like you for using the meter. I will only choose those using meter. From north.

(In Hokkian) Oh, then you must able to speak in Hokkian. I understand you passenger like meter taxi, that’s why I use meter to make you happy. If you are happy, sure you don’t mind paying me rm2 more right?

….. yes, I don’t mind if you use meter.

SMS ringing…

It is a strange thing to receive a sms from somebody today because after getting my new number, I told my contact to only one friend who is now with me. No one else knows my new number. Not even I have told my parents about my new number yet.

“Hi, are you plu?”

“Who are you? What is plu?”

“you don’t know plu?”

“How did you get my number?”

“Sorry, I passed by when you were getting Digi number and I jotted it down. Do you have msn?”

*Holy wow! *

Packing Day 之90 分

Poooh... been packing for hours... my room is a mess now! cloths, electronic stuff, bags, documents, cds, books, gels and lotions... they are everywhere in my room, there are more outside...

5.35pm now 10.42pm in Malaysia, decided to take a break. Hardly find a place to blog my mess hour. Ah... radio is playing my favorite song from Michael Wong.

Haar! I found my diary! Very old diary, wanted to throw it away many times but somehow still kept with me everywhere I go. I don't really want it, really, nothing much in the diary, less than ten pages. I kept and i forget about it, that's why I am surprise when i see it again...

Let's see, refresh what's inside...
Hahaha... first page, quite a heavy subject... " The Eternity" not dated... Eh, I have a draft about the same subject too! but I don't publish because I still find hard to understand what I wrote about, hehe...
Second page dated 30-Sep-2002, 8:15pm about Paul...
Hmm... page 4 is interesting... in Mandarin, titled "Almost Perfect" dated 8-Jan-2003

Haha... weird... hmm... I am not sure if this is right thinking. For sure, I won't be doing cleaning half way now.
