I got all my id, license and bank cards done and ya we always pay for what we lost and a lot more effort of getting them back than keeping it well.
Someitmes, like today, I do not get what I wish to have but that’s fine because I will not have to lose “it”.
Lost what we had and not getting what we want is equally unpleasant.
