The movie has many Mustangs between 1965 - 1968. Good photos of 1967 Yellow Coupe (*), and a 1967 Highland Green Fastback (*).

Low budget 16 mm piece. Mostly shot on location in and around Chicago in the summer of 1968, with some scenes filmed in Washington D.C.

Too many too background cars have been added here, IMHO.

Yes, at least those from the parking lot are not so well visible, and probably several others
somename, you should consider making more filtering on this one, putting some in the comments if you wish to keep them

I think that at least the 50% of them is not worth listing (I've already deleted several ones, not even worth mentioning in comments). And I'm not usually so strict about background cars...

^But why did you delete the images entirely. Some of those were rare. Such as the 1968 AMC Rebel convertible: [Image: 013251a.jpg] identifiable by the large fake exhaust in front of the rear wheel.
Or whatever the heck this thing is: [Image: 014650.jpg] That I only added because it seems strange for a American city in 1968. I fully intended to do some combining once everything was identified.

Might be an Austin A50/A55 Cambridge !?!?!? In which case - it's one of these rarities.

My apologies for deleting the pics without putting in comments, but honestly I thought that they weren't so interesting even for comments. I should have asked you before acting.

Anyway, I've seen now that you've reuploaded the ones that I deleted, but why didn't you put them directly in comments, instead? :p I don't see the point of listing cars like this /vehicle_641400-Rambler-Rebel-1967.html or /vehicle_641394-Buick-Electra-225-1967.html , to name a couple of examples.

^So far we only have two examples (three if you count this one) of a 67 Electra 225 coupe; three (four if you count this one) examples of a 67 Rebel coupe. And it was all stuff that I had already identified so it's not as though I was cluttering up the unknowns.

The only pictures I included were stuff I could identify myself. Things I'm not familiar with but I thought were clear enough that other people should have no problems identifying. Or stuff that I thought might be a stretch but were unusual enough (at least in a 1968 U.S. setting) to including. For example; I had no idea there was an Opel in there. I will include some thumbs of stuff I thought was too obscure.

The tail doesn't look to me long enough for the A55/Cambrian Mk.I. As the A55 was the first model to be renamed Cambrian for the US market, I'd suggest A50 Cambridge.

You know, I was expecting to have a hard time finding information about a muddy encampment on the National Mall; I'd never heard of one.

Turns out it's 'Resurrection City,' part of the Poor People's Campaign organized in part by Martin Luther King Jr. in 1968. After MLK's assassination the settlement was built on the south side of the Reflecting Pool in May 1968 and lasted for six weeks during what unfortunately turned out to be a very rainy month. It was torn down in June.

A picture of the city as seem from the Washington Monument:

(the buildings on the right were *cough* 'temporary' buildings constructed for the military in 1918)
