Agbeli;

I know of at least two projects that are using the NOAA AVHRR satellites
to construct global images.  The USGS's EROS Data Center is constructing
global 1-km resolution images and the GSFC is constructing 8-km images.
However, both of these are in the Goodes projection.  You can checkout
