I have uploaded some PC animations of the shape changing robotics
technology to:-

site ftp.demon.co.uk (158.152.1.69:21)
directory /pub/ibmpc/graphics/pm
file pm.zip (binary file)

(You can login by anonymous ftp to this site.
Type go after unzipping. The animations are functional - not brilliant!
A text file included describes animations.)

This is a true shape changing robot having true multi-terrain capabilities.
unlike Dante II and all of NASA's designs. Under software control, you
should be able to walk, crawl, deform shape to squeeze through narrow
entrances, climb walls and decend holes. It can also carry and operate tools.
