At 2:54 pm (ADT) today (7/29/94), Dante II walked off of its shipping pallet
and began descending into the Crater Peak region of Mt. Spurr. By
6:30 pm (ADT), Dante had walked 18 meters into the crater.

Walking is scheduled to continue throughout the weekend. NASA Select
is providing live video coverage Saturday and Sunday from 10a-10p (ADT).
