For this you get an off-the-shelf speed reducer. Boston Gear
(617-328-3300) has a broad line. Ask for the "mechanical products"
catalog. Sizes from 1/6 to 20HP are available. Berg has some speed
reducers, but Boston Gear has a much broader selection.

Check out their "Optimount Reductors". These are helical-gear
shaft-mounted speed reducers. 14:1 is a standard ratio,
and 1725 RPM is within the standard input speed range.
