My apologies if this is the wrong newsgroup, I have a limited
number of newsgroups available to me.

Has anyone had any experience with an Adam 4050 Data Aquisition
Module manufactured by a company called Advantech??

I have been asked to write some software for a network of about
6-12 of these devices, and I was wondering if anyone else has
had any experience, bad or good, with these devices.

I envisage the software will basically be polling each individual
module and retrieving any data that they have collected and from
there, the data manipulated accordingly to obtain the desired result.

The software will be written in C and will be running on a Unix
server. So if anyone has had any experience, especially with
programming these devices from a Unix environment, I would appreciate
to hear any hints or traps on achieving this. If by chance their is
source code available anywhere, a pointer in the right direction
would be great!!

Thanks in advance.
