Hi all,
Recently I did a follow up to a request for info on mailing lists
related to comp.robotics. Quite a few people subscribed to project-robot
as a result.

What is project-robot ? It's a group of people who through the use of
internet resources are trying to build a robot. Just for the fun of it, and
to learn somthing. We are strictly non-profit, you are not required to pay
anything to be a member.

Common questions,

Question: Will I get my own copy of the robot?
Answer: Yes. You build it!

Question: What kind of a robot is it?
Answer: We have only begun our first project, described as; a four wheel drive
base that is capable of moving without bumping into things.

Question: What will control this robot?
Answer: This is the subject of much debate. If you know somthing about
microcontrollers, and microproscessors mabey you could help to clear things
up! If not don't worry, there are no requirements to join the list except a
genuine interest.

Question: How do I get involved?
Answer: Just sign up, Most active members introduce themselves by telling a
little about themselves, and what they hope to accomplish.

Question: How do I sign up.
Answer: Send mail to majordomo@world.std.com
In the body of the letter type; subscribe project-robot
That's all thats needed !!
From then on you will send mail to, and recieve mail from
project-robot@world.std.com
 *****IMPORTANT NOTE*****
If you have subscribed to project-robot, and are not getting mail from the
list then chances are your mail has bounced. This happens when the system
for one reason or another gets your address wrong. There is no way for me to
know your correct address, and I have no alternative, but to unsubscribe
such a person from the list.
In such a situation there are two things that can be done.
One:send mail directly to me with your correct address mabpburg@world.std.com
Thats Mike A. Brooksher from Pittsburg, Ks just for the record.
Two: Change the line in the body of your letter to majordomo to read:
subscribe project-robot <your address> don't include the"<>".
Hope to hear from you soon!
Mike Brooksher
