We, a group of experienced engineers from several disciplines, intend to
found a new engineering company based in Lausanne, Switzerland, dedicated
to interdisciplinary engineering, special projects, and the promotion and
utilization of innovative software tools in various engineering and
industrial branches.

In many areas or Europe, a lot of small/medium size industrial companies
and engineering offices still work in old traditional manners with little
and far from optimum use of computers. Even relatively high-tech companies
often do not have the time and the resources to follow and try new
products. Also it is a fact that often local dealers lack the technical
competence to advise optimally.

Therefore we perceive a potentially very strong market in the diffusion of
up-to-date technology aiming at a mature computer literacy in vast
sectors of the engineering/technical/industrial community in Europe.
Our advantage with respect to other dealers and/or representatives is that
we have high level engineering capabilities while trying to be close to
the real life needs of the great mass of small/medium size companies
that struggle in our area to overcome the present economic recession.

We are looking for software producers and vendors interested in a
collaboration aimed at marketing their software products for Engineering,
Technical and Scientific applications in our region.

This collaboration may take different aspects, for instance:
1) We would sell and support your products in our area as your official
   representative, essentially acting as dealers.
2) We would offer competitive engineering services using your products,
by which you would gain licence fees and royalties.
3) Same as 2) above with in addition the possibility to contract your
own expert support in the projects done for our clients.
Other arrangements may be proposed.

We would aim in first place to become your exclusive representative
for a given area (the west part of Switzerland as a minimum, but
possibly all Switzerland, Northern Italy, part or all of France or even
all western Europe).

We seek products in particular for the following engineering, technical
and scientific applications:

* Robotics and Precision Motion Devices
* Hydraulic Systems (design, simulation)
* Mechanical Engineering
* Data Analysis and Image Processing
* Control Engineering

The software products sought here must have a competitive edge that would
facilitate their marketing.
This edge may be given by any combination of the following aspects:
- Products that show an obvious potential for saving client time/money
for given design phases: we are particularly looking for good software
suitable for preliminary studies, write-up of design and cost proposals
and tenders, "simplified" analyses for which often the client has
  little investment capacity.
- Easier use, quick learning.
- Possibility for localization (translation in french, italian).
- A product optimal for small/medium size companies or engineering
  offices.
- Product maintenance available.
- The products should have a proven record of applications.
- A lower product cost than competitors (remember we are aiming at opening
new virgin markets and may have to use an aggressive price policy to
overcome in most cases the tendential conservatism of clients even
  before the actual competitors).
- A product that lends itself for a VAR operation with cheap hardware:
for instance if the product runs under UNIX it might be sold with a PC
  with LinuX installed.

                            Buergerplatz 18, D-8046 Garching, Germany
(address valid until 30 Sep 93)

We plan to start our activity in October 93 with a extensive palette
of products and engineering services.
