Okay, I'm sure you've all heard this a thousand times before, but...
I'm interested in tinkering around with robotics. I don't have much $$ (grad student), no soldering skills (yet), and little knowledge of electronics.
I can acquire soldering skills and basic electronics expertise with little
difficulty. Where should I go from there? Are any of the commercial kits
interesting (and easy) enough for the rank amateur (not to mention cheap
enough)? I ftp'ed the Stiquito file, and it sounds interesting, but so
limited that I'm afraid that I'd get too bored with it before I'm up to
the point that I can start designing my own add-ons. In essence, then, where
would y'all say that an ABSOLUTE beginner should begin?
Thanks a bunch!
- Jesse
