There's been some interest in the spec's of these motors. Since I
have no spec sheet, I sat down and recorded these readings:

Voltage:	No load:	Vibe weight loaded:

	1.5V 43mA 82 mA
	3.0V 48mA 182mA
	5.0V 62mA 371mA
7.0V 85mA Sucker shakes too much!

For all intensive purposes, these motors have little torque. They've
been designed for *speed*. I chucked one into my dremel, and at it's lowest
setting (~5000rpm) the motor generates ~ 65mA @ 1.2V. Falls pretty much in
line with the Vin chart, and gives you an idea what kind of rpm is being
generated.

I hope to be able to chuck on into a small lathe eventually, and
get some accurate rpm readings.

To get any useful work out of them, you have to either gear it down
with a clock timer mechanism, or use the output shaft with some sort of
belt/pulley system. FYI, you used to be able to get oven timers from
ACTIVE SUPPLY (when I last called, they were out), which were easily
modified to take the output shafts of these motors. The timers are also
easily re-geared from their default 3600:1 to much more reasonable ratios
I've stripped out
wonderful gears from many an old oven destined to the scrap heap. Look up
large appliance repair in the phone book, and go dumpster diving!

In my last post, I overlooked some items I'd like to trade for:

	68HC11's & associated equipment
	Broken walkmans
	Broken video-cams
	Video-cam focussing motors
	Transistor/TTL/MSI/etc databooks
A copy of "The Art of Electronics 2nd edition" by Horowitz & Hill
