I am currently trying to select an inexpensive single board
computer that is ANSI C programmable from an external machine such as a PC.
The best board I have come up with is a board called the Tiny Giant from
Z-World. It has its own switching power supply, some high current I/O lines
and a multi channel A/D converter. The board is built around a Z80 type
processor and is programmable from a PC using a C language cross compiler
that is available separately.
Has anybody had any experience with this board or others with similar
characteristics? The board is roughly $300 and the language is an additional
$200.
I am hoping to use such a board for a small (6" cube) mobile and
would like to concentrate my efforts on the programming and design of the
drive mechanism, not learning another assembler.
There is alot of talk in this group about a Mini Board. Is this
something that may be an alternative?

Any thoughts or suggestions would be helpful.
