as a work of non-fiction then you opinion is of no import.  :>

Try the excellent humor collection "The Light Stuff" from the
space/science editor of The Huntsville Times (came out in '81, I
think) for actual behind-the-scenes stories of the glory days of
the space program.  I used to have several copies around here
somewhere...  (Maybe our friend in Minnesota has a spare.)
