Hi folks,

I am having problems with a VW2.0 application using up too many colours
on an HP9000/712 workstation and would appreciate any hints or ideas you
folks may have.

The application was originally developed on an HP9000/715 and although
it runs OK on a 712, the colours are different. More exactly, where
colours have not been explicitly set (such as in button icon bitmaps)
they differ between the two machines, even though the machines have the
same configurations as far as X and the window manager are concerned (at
least as far as I can tell). For example, the default background
changes from grey on the 715 to pale green on the 712.

This alone would not be too bad, but there is another side effect, which
is that other applications cannot get enough colours to display legibly.
Since this application's main purpose is as an application launcher (for
other, non-ST applications), this is a drop-dead problem.

Thanks for your time.

Regards,

Kenneth
