We are seeking highly qualified candidates for several positions.

All positions require consummate skills in object-oriented software
development. At least three to five years of substantive VisualWorks
experience is required for all positions. Candidates should have worked
with relational and object database systems. Some positions require
experience with GemStone, but all would benefit from such experience.
Unix fluency is essential. Experience with MacOS and Windows is highly
desired. Understanding of networks, particularly TCP/IP, is necessary
in all positions. Fluency in Japanese and/or Korean would be an advantage
in some positions, but English fluency is required for all. Good com-
munication and writing skills are important. Teamwork is essential.

The available positions are in two areas: manufacturing and information
systems. The manufacturing positions involve development of a state-
of-the-art production-management system for a new automotive plant being
built in Asia. A small but highly-skilled team is being assembled in
San Francisco to develop this system in conjunction with an international
plant-engineering firm. Additional related projects are anticipated.
Some travel may be required for these positions. Experience in manufac-
turing would be a substantial asset, as would expertise with GemStone or
another object database. This is an opportunity to work with a crack
team of professionals on a highly visible and critical project from
start to finish. The development environment consists of high-end HP/UX
workstations and servers. Deployment includes Windows clients.

The information-systems engineering positions are available in Florida.
The engineers would supervise development of several large-scale projects,
including asset management, order processing, and geographic-information
systems. The roles require substantial GemStone and VisualWorks back-
ground and include mentoring. Good teamwork and leadership skills
are essential. Political savvy would be an asset, as the client is a
large corporation. The company has made a large commitment to object
technology, and the positions are highly visible and critical to their
success. The environment consists largely of HP/UX servers and Windows
clients. The venues are Palm Beach and Miami.

All positions offer highly competitive compensation commensurate with the
level of mastery we seek. We prefer to hire candidates, but we will consider
highly qualified contractors.

Please send curriculum vitae, including detailed description of object-
oriented work experience, salary history and references, via Internet to

                jobs@entelech.com

or via facsimile (please use high-resolution mode) to

                +1 510 644 3060.

Electronic submissions should be in an interchange format, such as
Acrobat, Common Ground, MIF, RTF, and ASCII. FrameMaker, QuarkXPress,
Nisus, Word, and WordPerfect formats for Macintosh are also acceptable.

The positions become available in August and September 1995. All
inquiries will be treated confidentially.
