   The VBX market indicates there is a vigorous component market: there is a
   healthy variety and number of VBX controls available and many language
   vendors have already or are planning on being compatible with VBX or its
   next generation, OCX.

Can you put any figures on this?  How big is this market?

I guess my real question is, how does this market compare with the
frameworks or library market?  In other words, I wonder if it makes
more sense to sell actual user-level components, knowing that, if
specialized, they will have a relatively narrow market, or to sell
tools for a broader market which facilitate the construction of
home-grown, application-specific components.
