This is a *very* good idea. The current situation is extremly
frustrating. The Envy mailing list does not work. And newsgroups
are not necessarily the best way of dealing with it.

My personal means of support at the moment are:

- Other people around me.
- PP support (which goes through the following chain:
	me->internal point of contact->PP
which is indirect, slow and cumbersome.
(there might be a number of additional indirections
   within PP and evt. OTI)
- c.l.s

Now I could always ask in c.l.s, but some questions are very
VW specific. Also I have some questions and comments that
could expose a number of smaller bugs in their product. I don't
mind sharing them with other VW users, they should know about them,
but I don't feel it is right to air them here on the
newsgroup, as this could create the impression of an inferior
product, which VW clearly isn't.

A mailing list also would allow PP to inform its customers about
patches on ParcBench a.s.a.p.

There is a real need. It will help PP to produce a better
product.

There are two options:
a) a closed managed mailing list with exploders in each site or
   each company.
b) a open mailing list managed by some software like majordomo.

There is no excuse not to do it,
