In fact, the sort of thing that *was* included in ST from day one (well,
maybe not day one, but ParcPlace has had projects for quite a long
time). Digitalk chose not to implement them in their version.

It's biggest weaknesses are performance and GUI emulation. It doesn't
perform well on non-PowerMac's and the PowerPC version isn't out yet.
It's supposed to be much better on PowerMac's. It also emulates the
Mac widgets, and Mac users tend to be particularly fussy about such
things. There are certainly people using ParcPlace successfully on
Mac's, and I would expect far more than are using V/Mac.
