  Yes, I found that out the hard way too.  I think I get an error from
the function gc() when I compile it using Turbo C++ v3.0.  However,
I get a runtime error that never gets to the scheme prompt at all.
Now, I'm compiling using Borland C++ 2.0 which seems to be able
to run fine but I there's either something very subtle that I'm
missing in my set up or it's an incompatibility bug between the
version of scm and slib that I'm using.
