I hope so too. A standard FFI would go a long way to integrating these 
facilities without integrating actual Scheme implementations.

I'm not sure if the same people who are comfortable with Perl/TCL will be 
comfortable with Scheme. They are almost diametric opposites. Perl makes me
sick to my stomach and we know how Stallman feels about Tcl!
