I don't get it -- all you need to use elisp is an emacs, and that
surely has nothing to do with whether you're using X.  It's also
straightforward to use emacs for hash-bang invoked scripts.  Hoping
not to offend Olin Shivers, I'll even add that emacs has a much
smaller memory footprint than does scsh.
