Oops! I missed the whole discussion of pairs (the server drops old news 
pretty quick around here)

So, sorry if this was covered, but could someone explain the historical 
reason(s) why (cons 'a 'b) and (cons 'a (cons 'b '())) are both 
considered PAIRS?
