I use STk and like it.  Get it from anonymous ftp at:

    kaolin.unice.fr:/pub/STk-2.1.tar.gz

You might be interested in a review of various Scheme 
implementations in Linux Journal, March 1995, p. 23.
The author of that article says that he has various
Scheme interpreters pre-compiled for Linux at 
ftp site:

    ftp.mindspring.com/users/rsanders/lang
