Another thing this topic brings up is the importance of
no-prompt/no-banner/shut-the-hell-up mode for Scheme
interpreters.  Cat in Scheme shouldn't need to open files
at all; but if you just do stdin->stdout, you end up
with this damn banner spooge all over the output.
