Actually, I have had nothing but tremendous headaches getting this `portable
ANSI C' to compile under CW5, which is to say that I haven't gotten it to
happen at all (note: this isn't to say that the portable ANSI C isn't well-
written or any such thing; it's more to point out that `portable ANSI C' is
an obvious oxymoron).

I would really, _really_ like to know what changes are necessary to get VSCM
to the point where it will even contemplate running with the recommended
flags.  Then I'll gladly help investigate the crashing problem.
