I've hacked the latest version of VSCM, vscmV1r1, to compile under
   CodeWarrior CW5 on a PowerMac 6100/60 running system 7.5.

Interesting, could you send me the instructions on how to `hack' it?

But after running it with the recommended "-b - -a
".scheme-boot.asm"" flags, when I try to dump a boot file, it
   crashes the Mac.

Are you sure it crashes when trying to dump the image? Did it create
the file you named? Or did it crash before it got a chance to do so?

Has anyone got it to run under CW5 or has anyone experienced a
   similar problem on another platform?

I myself do not have any experience with running the damn thing on a
Mac. I just tried to make the code as close to ANSI C as I could
manage -- in the hope that this enhances the chances of getting it to
run on all kinds of machines.
