I use Aubrey Jaffer's SCM with SLIB. I have never encountered any problems with it
(apart from those caused by my own ignorance - and these were solved by A. Jaffer
in an email message). I have look at other available scheme implementations
from time to time just to check, but I am still using SCM.

I am also one of the countless users of software from the FSF (emacs, gcc, gawk ...).

I do not know either Mr Jaffer nor
Mr Stallman, but I greatly respect their work. I have read nothing written by either of
these people that I would consider unreasonable, including Mr Stallman's concern
about extension languages and his plans connected with this.

I appreciate A. Jaffer's
posting ('HATE') very much, since it expresses my own reaction to the GEL/SCM debate.
I hope that next time I will write what is appropriate before Mr Jaffer does.
