Howdy,
        Just my two cents, but I've collected a number of
Lisp/Scheme imp's over the past year, and I find SCM sources
to be comparatively Lucid. Then again, I twiddle bits and
longjmp for breakfast ;-) But really, try wading through
the Scheme48 distribution (not a crit of S48, I'm sure it's
the greatest thing since sliced bread) - much harder going.
