I just think you need to adjust your "marketing hype filters". They

I see it as "marketing hype", especially given Sun's stunning success
with NeWS and OpenLook. Tcl's going to succeed or fail despite Sun, not
because of it.

OK, could you explain why it makes your own actions necessary? I would think
you'd be more worried about Visual Basic... after all it's got serious
marketing behind it and it's hoarded software. The real enemy isn't Sun
and {Tcl,Solaris,...} it's Microsoft and NT.

Tcl isn't GNU-style software, but at least it's free.
