One topic has been missing from this discussion:  exactly which packages are
to be targetd for GNUel?  Is elisp in gnu-emacs going to be replaced with
gnuel?  How about sed, awk, or even bash?

Or is GNUel really going to be a stand-along language in direct competition
with tcl/tk (visual basic and rexx)?

Also: is tcl/tk currently used as any other program's extension language?
