Ian,

I'd like to bring out the point that Stallman's post was not about how
good Scheme is as a teaching language, it was saying that scheme is
"better" than tcl, and then tried to back this up with misleading or
wrong statements.

If you like Scheme, then fine, use Scheme. Who's Stallman to be telling
us what we should be using?
