I'm trying to build a clx image over a working gcl.1.1b on
linux using the clx.tar.gz files at sunsite in pub/Linux/devel/lisp
The compile goes okay, but when I try to run the demo files
I get the error:

Error: X-Error: Connection failure to X2816.0 server display 0:
	Protocol version mismatch
Fast links are on: do (use-fast-links nil) for debugging
	Error signalled by SETQ.
Broken at XLIB:OPEN-DISPLAY. Type :H for Help.

I have recently moved to X11R6 from R5, so would I be right in
guessing that that this is the problem? (I believe the version
of clx I have is for R4 and R5) Could it be something else
entirely (sockets, incorrect path, etc.) ?

Is there an X11R6-compatible version of clx with gcl patches
available out there? If not, is there any simple fix I could
try to get this working?

Thanks
