Howyd,
        XLISP has low level graphics primitives. The recent XLISP
PLUS has low level graphics primtives (move, draw) and supports a
number of different display modes. XLISP PLUS is much bigger and
closer to CL than the XLISP of the mid 80's. Available on BIX and
(I think) oak.oakland.edu. There's a version of XLISP for just about
every popular machine/os combo going.
        OTOH, if CLISP does have some graphics primitives, I'd pick
that over XLISP until XLISP has a bc compiler/vm architecture (which
I think some folks are working on.)
