I have a Macintosh port of XLISP 3.0 that I use for a project at work. 
It doesn't have a very fancy Mac interface though.

I used MCL lots when I was at Apple and never had crashing problems with
it.  It is a very nice environment.  Much more programmer friendly than
any of my ports of XLISP.  Which version of MCL have you been using?
