Gaming headsets, audiophiles and beyerdynamic DT 70 IE

A few months ago I treated myself to beyerdynamic DT 70 IE in-ear-monitors. As per my own policy I use something for a few month before talking about it. It is easy to get super excited about something in the first week or two just for it to fall apart during daily use. Now instead of doing a typical review talking about a random classic piece of music you listen to sitting in a closed off room most people will not be able to relate to I decided to take a slightly different approach.

It is a monitor, okay?

My dad upgraded from an old iMac to a MacMini. He decided that two 4k Dell monitors I had in storage were perfect for him. This left me without a monitor if I ever need one for servers or to connect other random stuff, which happens more often than you would think. So during Prime Day I bought a BenQ GW2491 for 80 Euro. This monitor could not be more unremarkable.

Tailwind is not worth it

TailwindCSS is the first UI framework that really clicked for me with more than good enough defaults. It enabled me to quickly prototype a UI someone with actual design skill can refine. And thanks to its widespread use LLMs are fairly well versed in it as well. But looking past the convenience I now believe using Tailwind is not worth the risk.

Forgejo Actions and version numbers

Let me be on the record that I hate working on a CI pipeline. It brings me back to a time when we made a single line change and waited ten minutes for C++ templates to compile. I really did not enjoy that. This will serve as documentation so I never have to figure this out again.
