Future SIDIS measurements with a transversely polarized deuteron target at COMPASS / Martin, Anna (Trieste U. ; INFN, Trieste) /COMPASS
Since 2005, measurements of Collins and Sivers asymmetries from the HERMES and COMPASS experiments have shown that both the transversity and the Sivers PDFs are different from zero and measurable in semi-inclusive DIS on transversely polarised targets. Most of the data were collected on proton targets, and only small event samples were collected in the early phase of the COMPASS experiment on a deuteron (6LiD) target and more recently at JLab, on 3He. The future SIDIS measurement on transversely polarized deuterons by the COMPASS Collaboration / Bradamante, Franco (INFN, Trieste) /COMPASS Collaboration
Since 2005, measurements of Collins and Sivers asymmetries from the HERMES and COMPASS experiments have allowed to assess that the transversity and the Sivers PDFs are different from zero and measurable in semi-inclusive DIS on transversely polarised targets. Most of the data were collected on proton targets, only small event samples were collected in the early phase of the COMPASS experiment on a deuteron ($^6$LiD) target and more recently at JLab, on $^3$He, so that the $d$-quark and the se

Newest COMPASS results on longitudinal and transverse nucleon spin structure. / Levorato, Stefano (INFN, Trieste) /Compass
The COMPASS experiment at CERN has performed a rich programme in inclusive and semi-inclusive deep inelastic scattering of longitudinally polarised muons off longitudinally, transversely polarised and unpolarised nucleons. The main topic is the investigation of the spin structure of the nucleon in terms of quark and gluons, both through accessing the spin dependent collinear parton distribution functions and studying the transverse momentum dependent TMD PDFs and FFs The newest results on the spin structure function of the proton and the deuteron, on the transversity and Sivers PDFs and the measurements of hadron multiplicities will be shown. Transverse target spin asymmetries on a proton target at COMPASS / Richter, Andreas (Aachen, Tech. Hochsch.) /on behalf of the COMPASS collaboration
Transversity and transverse momentum-dependent parton distribution functions (TMDs) are been measured in semi-inclusive deep inelastic scattering (SIDIS) by using a transversely polarized target at the COMPASS experiment. COMPASS is a fixed target experiment at the CERN M2 beamline, which provides a 160GeV/c polarized m+ beam [...]

Drell-Yan measurements at the COMPASS experiment / Meyer-Conde, Marco (Illinois U., Urbana) /COMPASS Collaboration
In 2015 and 2018 the COMPASS experiment at CERN measured muon-pair production in the Drell-Yan (DY) and J/Psi channels using a 190 GeV $\pi^-$ beam impinging on a transversely polarized NH$_3$ and unpolarized nuclear targets ($^{27}$Al, $^{184}$W). Apart from the absolute cross-section measurements for both processes, COMPASS studies also the target spin (in)dependent azimuthal asymmetries in both channels. [...]

Measurement of target-polarization dependent azimuthal asymmetries in SIDIS and Drell-Yan processes at COMPASS experiment / Parsamyan, Bakur (CERN ; Turin U. ; INFN, Turin)
According to QCD the quark structure of the nucleon spin within the \textit{twist-2} approximation is parameterized by eight transverse-momentum-dependent (TMD) parton distribution functions (PDFs). The PDFs describe the distributions of longitudinal and transverse momenta of partons and their correlations with nucleon and quark polarizations and can be accessed through measurement of spin (in)dependent azimuthal asymmetries in semi-inclusive DIS (SIDIS) and Drell-Yan processes. The COMPASS experiment at CERN, as part of its programme, addresses the exploration of the spin structure of the nucleon by measuring spin (in)dependent azimuthal asymmetries in semi-inclusive DIS and, recently, also in Drell-Yan processes. Single spin asymmetries for identified hadrons at COMPASS / Pesaro, Giulia (Trieste U. ; INFN, Trieste) /on behalf of the COMPASS Collaboration
COMPASS is a fixed target experiment at CERN SPS, dedicated to the study of the nucleon spin structure and hadron spectroscopy. The transverse spin structure of the nucleon is investigated by measuring semi-inclusive deep inelastic scattering (SIDIS) of a 160 GeV/c longitudinally polarized muon beam off transversely polarised targets. Study of transverse momentum dependent distributions from polarised Drell-Yan at COMPASS / Quaresma, Márcia (LIP, Lisbon) /COMPASS Collaboration
The Parton Distributions Functions (PDFs) and the spin structure of the nucleon are studied by the COMPASS experiment at CERN. The transverse momentum dependent (TMD) PDFs of the proton will be accessed via Drell-Yan (DY) dimuon production in negative pion collisions on a NH_3 transversely polarised target. [...]
