The dipole strength of the nuclide $^{76}$Ge was studied in photon-scattering experiments using bremsstrahlung produced with electron beams of energies of 7.8 and 12.3 MeV at the $\gamma$ELBE facility. We identified 210 levels up to an excitation energy of 9.4 MeV and assigned spin $J$ = 1 to most of them. [...]

The dipole strength of the nuclide $^{66}$Zn was studied in photon-scattering experiments using bremsstrahlung produced with electron beams of energies of 7.5 and 13.4 MeV at the γELBE facility as well as using quasimonoenergetic and linearly polarized photon beams of 30 energies within the range of 4.3 to 9.9 MeV at the HIγS facility. A total of 128 J=1 states were identified, among them 9 with 1$^+$ and 86 with 1$^−$ assignments. [...]

Development of an Ionization Chamber for the Measurement of the$^{16}$ O(n, ${\alpha }$ )$^{13}$ C Cross-Section at the CERN n_TOF Facility / Urlass, Sebastian (TU, Dresden (main) ; HZDR, Dresden ; CERN) ; Junghans, Arnd R (HZDR, Dresden ; CERN) ; Hartmann, Andreas (HZDR, Dresden) ; Mingrone, Federica (CERN) ; Sobiella, Manfred (HZDR, Dresden) ; Stach, Daniel (HZDR, Dresden) ; Tassan-Got, Laurent (CERN) ; Weinberger, David (HZDR, Dresden) /n_TOF Collaboration
The$^{16}$ O(n,  ${\alpha }$ )$^{13}$ C reaction, as the inverse reaction of the astrophysically important$^{13}$ C( ${\alpha }$ , n)$^{16}$ O reaction, is proposed to be measured at the neutron time-of-flight (n_TOF) facility of CERN. To this purpose, a Double Frisch Grid Ionization Chamber (DFGIC) containing the oxygen atoms as a component in the counting gas has been developed and a prototype was constructed at Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf(HZDR), in Germany. Measurement of the $^{16}$O(n, α)$^{13}$C cross-section using a Double Frisch Grid Ionization Chamber / n_TOF Collaboration
The $^{16}$O(n, α)$^{13}$C reaction was proposed to be measured at the neutron time-of-flight (n_TOF) facility of CERN. To this purpose, a Double Frisch Grid Ionization Chamber (DFGIC) containing the oxygen atoms as a component in the counting gas coupled with a switch device in order to prevent the charge collection from the so-called γ-flash has been developed at Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf (HZDR), in Germany. The first $^{16}$O(n, α)$^{13}$C measurement without seeing the charge of the γ-flash at n_TOF has been performed in November 2018. [...]

Multiequipment Radiation Measurements in a Field Generated by Bombarding a 1-GeV/u Fe Beam on a Polyethylene Target at GSI and Comparison to FLUKA Simulations / Mohanan, Sarath Kundumattathil (CERN) ; Boukabache, Hamza (CERN) ; Froeschl, Robert (CERN) ; Horst, Felix (Darmstadt, GSI ; HZDR, Dresden) ; Kozlova, Ekaterina (Darmstadt, GSI) ; Lorenzon, Tommaso (CERN) ; Perrin, Daniel (CERN) ; Sokolov, Alexey (Darmstadt, GSI)
The complex nature of the radiation environment in various high-energy physics facilities necessitates the use of different kinds of radiation monitors. The detectors used could be either passive or active and need dedicated readout electronics. [...]
