This work is dedicated to the study of a technique for hadron identification in the TeV momentum range, based on the simultaneous measurement of the energies and of the emission angles of the Transition Radiation (TR) X-rays with respect to the radiating particles. A detector setup has been built and tested with particles in a wide range of Lorentz factors (from about $10^3$ to about $4 \times 10^4$ crossing different types of radiators. [...]

Analysis of anisotropic transverse flow in Pb-Pb collisions at 40A GeV in the NA49 experiment / Golosov, Oleg (Moscow Phys. Eng. Inst.) ; Selyuzhenkov, Ilya (Moscow Phys. Eng. Inst. ; Darmstadt, GSI) ; Kashirin, Evgeny (Moscow Phys. Eng. Inst.)
Anisotropic transverse flow is one of the most important observables in the study of ultra-relativistic nucleus-nucleus collisions. Detector acceptance non-uniformity in the transverse plane introduces substantial bias in the flow analysis dictating the need for specific corrections. [...]

Overview of ALICE results on light flavour hadron production / Riabov, V G (St. Petersburg, INP ; Moscow Phys. Eng. Inst.) /ALICE Collaboration
Light flavour hadrons are copiously produced in hadronic and heavy-ion interactions and bring a wealth of information about properties of the produced medium and reaction dynamics. Having different masses, quark content and lifetimes, light flavour hadrons do not only serve as general observables in the soft sector, but also play an important role as high transverse momentum probes and signatures of the onset of collectivity in high-multiplicity collisions of small and large systems. Resonance production in ALICE / Riabov, V G (St. Petersburg, INP ; Moscow Phys. Eng. Inst.) /ALICE
Short-lived hadronic resonances provide the means to study properties of the quark-gluon plasma and the hadronic phase produced in heavy-ion collisions at the LHC. In these proceedings we review the most recent ALICE results on resonance production in pp, p-Pb and Pb-Pb collisions at different energies..

The performance of the 25 μm-pore Planacon MCP-PMT is discussed here and the device is evaluated for the use as the main photosensor of the Cherenkov arrays of the Fast Interaction Trigger (FIT) detector for the upgrade of the ALICE apparatus at the CERN LHC. During the LHC Run 3 and 4 FIT has to operate in strong magnetic fields and in large particle fluxes without significant ageing effects. [...]
