High-precision half-life determination of $^{14}$O via direct $\beta $ counting / Sharma, S. (Regina U.) ; Grinyer, G.F. (Regina U.) ; Ball, G.C. (TRIUMF) ; Leslie, J.R. (Queen's U., Kingston) ; Svensson, C.E. (Guelph U.) ; Ali, F.A. (Guelph U. ; Sulaimaniya U.) ; Andreoiu, C. (Simon Fraser U., Dept. Chem.) ; Bernier, N. (TRIUMF ; British Columbia U. ; Western Cape U. ; Zululand U.) ; Bhattacharjee, S.S. (TRIUMF) ; Bildstein, V. (Guelph U.) et al.
The half-life of the superallowed Fermi $\beta^+$ emitter $^{14}$O was determined to high precision via a direct $\beta$ counting experiment performed at the Isotope Separator and Accelerator (ISAC) facility at TRIUMF. The result, $T_{1/2}$($^{14}$O) = 70619.2(76) ms, is consistent with, but is more precise than, the world average obtained from 11 previous measurements. [...]

Evidence against the wobbling nature of low-spin bands in $^{135}$Pr / Lv, B.F. (Lanzhou, Inst. Modern Phys. ; Beijing, GUCAS) ; Petrache, C.M. (IJCLab, Orsay) ; Lawrie, E.A. Modern Phys. ; Beijing, GUCAS) et al.
The electromagnetic character of the $\Delta I=1$ transitions connecting the one- to zero-phonon and the two- to one-phonon wobbling bands should be dominated by an $E2$ component, due to the collective motion of the entire nuclear charge. In the present work it is shown, based on combined angular correlation and linear polarization measurements, that the mixing ratios of all analyzed connecting transitions between low-lying bands in $^{135}$Pr interpreted as zero-, one-, and two-phonon wobbling bands, have absolute values smaller than one. The excited states of $N=44$$^{74}$Zn were investigated via $\gamma$-ray spectroscopy following $^{74}$Cu $\beta$ decay. By exploiting $\gamma$-$\gamma$ angular correlation analysis, the $2_2^+$, $3_1^+$, $0_2^+$ and $2_3^+$ states in $^{74}$Zn were firmly established. [...]

First β-decay spectroscopy of $^{135}$In and new $β$-decay branches of $^{134}$In / IDS Collaboration
The $\beta$ decay of the neutron-rich $^{134}$In and $^{135}$In was investigated experimentally in order to provide new insights into the nuclear structure of the tin isotopes with magic proton number $Z=50$ above the $N=82$ shell. The $\beta$-delayed $\gamma$-ray spectroscopy measurement was performed at the ISOLDE facility at CERN, where indium isotopes were selectively laser-ionized and on-line mass separated. [...]

The electron spectrometer, SPEDE, has been developed and will be employed in conjunction with the Miniball spectrometer at the HIE-ISOLDE facility, CERN. SPEDE allows for direct measurement of internal conversion electrons emitted in-flight, without employing magnetic fields to transport or momentum filter the electrons. [...]

Evolution of Octupole Deformation in Radium Nuclei from Coulomb Excitation of Radioactive $^{222}\mathrm{Ra}$ and $^{228}\mathrm{Ra}$ Beams / Butler, P.A. (U. Liverpool (main)) ; Gaffney, L.P. (U. (Leuven U.) ; Garrett, P.E. (Guelph U.) ; Goldkuhle, A. (Cologne U.) et al.
There is sparse direct experimental evidence that atomic nuclei can exhibit stable pear shapes arising from strong octupole correlations. In order to investigate the nature of octupole collectivity in radium isotopes, electric octupole ($E3$) matrix elements have been determined for transitions in $^{222,228}$Ra nuclei using the method of sub-barrier, multi-step Coulomb excitation.
