/ Chen, Y H (Orsay, IPN) ; Tassan-Got, L (Orsay, IPN) ; Audouin, L (Orsay, IPN) ; Le Naour, C (Orsay, IPN) ; Durán, I (U. Santiago de Compostela (main)) ; Casarejos, E (Vigo U.) ; Aberle, O (CERN) ; Andrzejewski, J (U. Lodz (main)) ; Bécares, V (Madrid, CIEMAT) ; Bacak, M (TU Vienna) et al.
/n_TOF
The experimental area 2 (EAR-2) at CERNs neutron time-of-flight facility (n_TOF), which is operational since 2014, is designed and built as a short-distance complement to the experimental area 1 (EAR-1). The Parallel Plate Avalanche Counter (PPAC) monitor experiment was performed to characterize the beam profile and the shape of the neutron flux at EAR-2. [...]

High-resolution cross section measurements for neutron interactions on $^{89}$Y with incident neutron energies up to 95 keV
/ Tagliente, G (INFN, Bari) ; Milazzo, P M (INFN, Trieste) ; Paradela, C (Geel, JRC) ; Kopecky, S (Geel, JRC) ; Vescovi, D (INFN, Perugia ; Cagliari Observ.) ; Alaerts, G (Geel, JRC) ; Damone, L A (INFN, Bari ; CERN) ; Heyse, J (Geel, JRC) ; Krtička, M (Charles U.) ; Schillebeeckx, P (Geel, JRC) et al.
The cross section of the $^{89}$Y(n, $\gamma $) reaction has important implications in nuclear astrophysics and for advanced nuclear technology. Given its neutron magic number N = 50 and a consequent small neutron capture cross section, $^{89}$Y represents one of the key nuclides for the stellar s-process. [...]

Recent Results In Nuclear Astrophysics At The n_TOF Facility At CERN
/ Tagliente, Giuseppe (INFN, Bari) ; Aberle, O (CERN) ; Andrzejewski, J (Lodz U.) ; Audouin, L (Orsay, IPN) ; Bacak, M (Vienna, Tech. /n_TOF
The neutron time of flight (n_TOF) facility at CERN is a spallation source characterized by a white neutron spectrum. The innovative features of the facility, in the two experimental areas, (20 m and 185 m), allow for an accurate determination of the neutron cross section for radioactive samples or for isotopes with small neutron capture cross section, of interest for Nuclear Astrophysics. Status report of the n_TOF facility after the 2nd CERN long shutdown period
/ Patronis, N (Ioannina U. ; CERN) ; Mengoni, A (ENEA, Bologna ; INFN, Bologna) ; Goula, S (Ioannina U.) ; Aberle, O (CERN) ; Alcayne, V (Madrid, CIEMAT) ; Altieri, S (INFN, Pavia ; Brescia U. ; Pavia U.) ; Amaducci, S (INFN, Catania) ; Andrzejewski, J (Lodz U.) ; Babiano-Suarez, V (Valencia U., IFIC) ; Bacak, M (CERN) et al.
During the second long shutdown period of the CERN accelerator complex (LS2, 2019-2021), several upgrade activities took place at the n_TOF facility. The most important have been the replacement of the spallation target with a next generation nitrogen-cooled lead target. [...]
