(Florida State U.) ; Chalons, G. (LPSC, Grenoble) ; Conte, E. (Haute Alsace U.) ; Kulkarni, S. (LPSC, Grenoble) ; Sengupta, D. (LPSC, Grenoble) ; Wymant, C. (Annecy, LAPTH)
We present the implementation, in the MadAnalysis 5 framework, of several ATLAS and CMS searches for supersymmetry in data recorded during the first run of the LHC. We provide extensive details on the validation of our implementations and propose to create a public analysis database within this framework..

We document the activities performed during the second MadAnalysis 5 workshop on LHC recasting, that was organised in KIAS (Seoul, Korea) on February 12-20, 2020. We detail the implementation of 12 new ATLAS and CMS searches in the MadAnalysis 5 Public Analysis Database, and the associated validation procedures. [...]

Implementation of the ATLAS-SUSY-2018-31 analysis in the MadAnalysis 5 framework (sbottoms with multi-bottoms and missing transverse energy; 139 fb$^{−1}$) / Araz, Jack Y (Durham U., IPPP) ; Fuks, Benjamin (Paris, LPTHE ; Inst. U. de France)
We present the implementation, in the MadAnalysis 5 framework, of the ATLAS-SUSY-2018-31 search for new physics, and document the validation of this implementation. This analysis targets, with 139 fb−1 of proton–proton collisions at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV recorded by the ATLAS detector between 2015 and 2018, the production of a pair of supersymmetric bottom squarks when they further decay through a cascade decay involving the second lightest neutralino and a Standard Model Higgs boson. Implementation of the CMS-SUS-19-006 analysis in the MadAnalysis 5 framework (supersymmetry with large hadronic activity and missing transverse energy; 137 fb$^{−1}$) / Mrowietz, Malte (Hamburg U.) ; Bein, Sam (Hamburg U.) ; Sonneveld, Jory (Nikhef, Amsterdam)
We present the MadAnalysis 5 implementation and validation of the analysis Search for supersymmetry in proton-proton collisions at 13 TeV in final states with jets and missing transverse momentum (CMS-SUS-19-006). The search targets signatures with at least two jets and large missing transverse momentum in the all-hadronic final state. [...]

Implementation of the ATLAS-SUSY-2019-08 analysis in the MadAnalysis 5 framework (electroweakinos with a Higgs decay into a $b\bar b$ pair, one lepton and missing transverse energy; 139 fb$^{−1}$) / Goodsell, Mark D (Paris, LPTHE)
This is the validation note for the recast in MadAnalysis 5 of the study ATLAS-SUSY-2019-08: a search for direct production of electroweakinos in final states with one lepton, missing transverse momentum and a Higgs boson decaying into two b-jets in pp collisions at s = 13 TeV with the ATLAS detector, using an integrated luminosity of 139 fb−1. The recasting code is validated against cutflows and expected signal events for benchmark scenarios, and the exclusion limits are reproduced for a simplified supersymmetric electroweakino sector consisting of a degenerate wino decaying to a light stable bino..

Implementation of the ATLAS-SUSY-2018-04 analysis in the MadAnalysis 5 framework (staus in the di-tau plus missing transverse energy channel; 139 fb$^{−1}$) / Lim, Jongwon (Hanyang U.) ; Lu, Chih-Ting (Korea Inst. Advanced Study, Seoul) ; Park, Jae-Hyeon (Korea Inst. Advanced Study, Seoul) ; Park, Jiwon (Hanyang U.)
We present the MadAnalysis 5 implementation and validation of the ATLAS-SUSY-2018-04 search. This ATLAS analysis targets direct stau production in events with two hadronic tau leptons, and probes 139 fb−1 of LHC proton–proton collisions at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV. [...]

Implementation of the CMS-EXO-17-015 analysis in the MadAnalysis 5 framework (leptoquark and dark matter with one muon, one jet and missing transverse energy; 77.4 fb$^{−1}$) / Fuks, Benjamin (Paris, LPTHE ; Inst. U. de France) ; Jueid, Adil (Konkuk U.)
We present an implementation of the CMS-EXO-17-015 analysis in the MadAnalysis 5 framework. The analysis targets a search for dark matter in a channel in which it originates from the production and decay of a pair of scalar leptoquarks. [...]

Implementation of the CMS-HIG-18-011 analysis in the MadAnalysis 5 framework (exotic Higgs decays via two pseudoscalars with two muons and two $b$-jets; 35.9 fb$^{−1}$) / Lee, Joon-Bin (Seoul Natl. U., Dept. Phys. Astron.) ; Lee, Jehyun (Seoul Natl. U., Dept. Phys. Astron.)
We present the implementation in the MadAnalysis 5 framework of the CMS-HIG-18-011 search for exotic decays of the Standard Model Higgs boson, in which the Higgs boson is assumed to decay into a pair of light pseudoscalar a1, that then further decay into a di-muon and di-b-jet final state. This analysis considers proton-proton collisions at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV and data collected by the CMS experiment in 2016, with an integrated luminosity of 35.9 fb−1. [...]
