The NA62 experiment at the CERN SPS is a fixed target experiment designed to measure the branching ratio of the ultra-rare Kaon decay $K^+$ → $\pi^+$ $\nu$ $\overline{\nu}$. The experiment uses an high-momentum $K^+$ decay in-flight technique to increase the rejection power of the main background: $K^+$ → $\pi^+$ $\pi^0$ . [...]

NA62 is a fixed-target experiment at the CERN SPS designed to measure the branching ratio of the very rare kaon decay $K^{+} \rightarrow \pi^{+}\nu \bar{\nu}$ with 10% precision. Measurements of time, momentum and direction of incoming beam particles are provided by a beam spectrometer called GigaTracker. [...]

The GigaTracker is a hybrid silicon pixel detector built for the NA62 experiment aiming at measuring the branching fraction of the ultra-rare kaon decay K+→π+νν¯ at the CERN SPS. The detector has to track particles in a beam with a flux reaching 1.3 MHz/mm2 and provide single-hit timing with 200 ps RMS resolution for a total material budget of less than 0.5% X0 per station. The role of the NA62 RICH in the $BR(K^+ \to \pi^+ \nu \bar\nu)$ measurement

The NA62 experiment aims to measure the $BR$($K^+$ $\rightarrow$ $\pi^+$ $v$ $\overline{v}$) with a 10% precision. One of the main backgrounds comes from the decay $K^+$ $\rightarrow$ $\mu^+$ $v$ , therefore a highly powerful pion/muon separation is needed. [...]

The NA62 Gigatracker pixel detector system

The silicon tracker for the NA62 experiment has to provide both a time resolution of 150 ps rms and a space resolution of about $100 \mu m rms$. These challenging specifications require the development of a new readout electronics in order to address the problem of measuring the tracks arrival time with such a high channel density. [...]
