Topics include a review of the earliest theoretical and experimental foundations; the fundamental constants of QCD; an introductory discussion of lattice QCD, the only known method for obtaining exact predictions from QCD; methods for approximating QCD, with special focus on effective field theories; QCD under extreme conditions; measurements and predictions of meson and baryon states; a special discussion of the structure of the nucleon; techniques for study of QCD at high energy, including treatment of jets and showers; measurements at colliders; weak decays and quark mixing; and a section on the future, which discusses new experimental facilities or upgrades currently funded. In order to observe and cure coupled bunch (CB) instabilities caused by the high order modes (HOMs) of the RF cavity and the resistive wall impedance of the Ring vacuum chamber, which were ineluctable during the operation of the accelerator, an observer system characterized by bunch by bunch measurement of transverse ßoscillation and longitudinal synchrotron phase oscillation has been constructed and commissioned at Hefei Light Source (HLS); meanwhile a transverse bunch-by-bunch feedback system is under construction. The design and development of the systems, as well as diagnostics results of machine instabilities will be presented in this paper..

Top-charm associated production via SUSY FCNC couplings at the CERN LHC in the MSSM / Jian, Jun-Liu ; Chong Sheng Li ; Li, Gang-Jin ; Li, Lin-Yang
We evaluate the total cross-sections of top-charm associated production induced by SUSY-QCD FCNC at the LHC within the general unconstrained MSSM framework. Our results show that these production rates may be as large as a few pb for favorable parameter values allowing by current precise experiments. [...]

We recalculate the branching ratios for t to cV (V=g, gamma , Z) induced by SUSY FCNC couplings within the general unconstrained MSSM framework using mass eigenstate approach. Our results show that the branching ratios for these decays are larger than ones reported in previous literatures in the MSSM with R-parity conservation, and they can reach ~10/sup -4/, ~10/sup -6/, and ~10/sup -6/, respectively, for favorable parameter values allowing by current precise experiments. We investigate the associated production of a scalar Higgs boson (h /sup 0/ or H/sup 0/) with the Z/sup 0/ boson in the minimal supersymmetric extension of the standard model (MSSM) at the CERN large hadron collider (LHC), including the contributions from bb annihilation at the tree level and gluon fusion via quark and squark loops.
